Staff comments

Mandometer®'s clinical and medical staff comes from a variety of professional backgrounds. They are committed and caring, and all have the same goal, our patient's recovery. Here's what they have to say!

"The work with the patients is so revolutionary. My very existence is affected by it."

"I get a real 'kick' out of being able to give a patient a clean bill of health. Within health care one is used to nursing patients, not curing them."

"My daughter says: It's clear you relate to those patients, Mom."

"The treatment is concrete. It's easy to follow and explain."

"Other medical care should have the same kind of strict guidelines and instructions."

"I've worked with anorexia within psychiatry. The chief physician was impatient and surprised we nurses didn't get the patient to gain weight. He didn't realize that (until now) we didn't know how to get the patient to eat."

"At the Center for Eating Disorders one doesn't look down at the patient, but one is keen to show respect and treat the patient as an equal."

"I earn respect from patients, relatives and colleagues when I give patients a clean bill of health. The knowledge and the experience of having treated several patients myself means I no longer 'take the patients home with me'."

"As an assistant nurse I had worked mainly with making the beds. I'd never had treatment responsibility before and have never felt so important. Today I treat patients of an illness that many consider incurable or chronic."
